The SECOND International Conference for PhD Students and Young Researchers in Economics, Management and Finance

The conference is open to PhD students and young researchers all who are interested in  problems of contemporary economics, management or finance. 

The conference provides a forum to address theoretical and methodological questions, to reflect on inter-and multi-disciplinarity in research and to discuss novel analytical trends. It will ask whether there are shifts in underlying basic principles, ideas or objectives, which factors might drive such changes and what directions this might indicate for the future of economics, management and finance. The conference is open to those active in economic research and welcomes contributions from all relevant disciplines. Research on any countries  or regions are very welcome.

Language of the conference: English 

The papers presented, if accepted after review, will be offered to be published as a book chapter. 




Abstracts should be about 500 words and should contain the following information and have the following form:

  • Title: 
  • Contact details: author(s), affiliation, postal address, phone number and e-mail address
  • Main issue analyzed in the paper (about 100 words)
  • Type of methodology and sources of data/information used for the analysis (about 200 words) (in case the paper is mainly theoretical, please specify so)
  • Main findings expected from the analysis (about 200 words)

The conference committee will inform successful applicants by the end of 15 May 2016.

  • Manuscripts intended for publication in the book should be written in English (in Word).
  • The size of the paper: 4500-6000 words (with references). 
  • The manuscripts should be accompanied by a summary of the article of not more than 100 words, keywords and the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) classification (see: 
  • Acknowledgements and references to grants, etc. should appear as footnotes to the author’s name* and should not be included in the main list of footnotes.
  • All the references should follow the rules of Harvard Referencing System used at Poznań University of Economics.
